Learning with Floga

Knowledge becomes valuable when you can use it.

Watching a teacher move is one way to practice. Understanding what they are doing changes everything.

Floga Academy breaks complex subjects into clear, considered lessons you can study at your own pace and return to whenever you need them. So you can move with greater awareness, make confident choices and eventually practice or teach without always needing someone else to lead the way.

Understanding
You know how, and why.
1
Alignment

Stack the supporting shoulder over the wrist, so the arm carries you like a pillar.

2
Breath

Inhale to lift the hips, exhale to open the chest and reach long through the top hand.

3
Why

Pressing through the standing foot lifts the hips, so the bend comes from the upper back and not the lower back.

4
Precaution

Step the bent leg back only as far as the knee stays comfortable. Skip it with a wrist or shoulder injury.

01

Made to learn from

Short lessons, one subject each, grouped into modules. Find the pose you need in seconds, and come back to it in three years when you teach it for the first time.

02

The why behind the how

Alignment, breath and precautions, and the reasoning that connects them. When you know why a cue exists, it stays with you after the video ends.

03

Built for independence

The goal is a practice you can shape yourself: your own sequences, at your own pace, with the screen closed. For teachers, classes that are unmistakably yours.

Learn.Practice.Understand.Make it yours.
The Floga method

From the lesson to the mat.

1

Watch

Clear, carefully produced teaching lets you see each concept in practice.

2

Understand

Theory, context and detailed explanation reveal why it works.

3

Apply

Exercises, reflections and practical resources help you use what you learn.

4

Embody

Return to the material until the knowledge becomes part of your practice or teaching.

The trainings

Fifteen trainings. Start where your practice is.

Master the deck you own, build one skill properly, or earn continuing education credit as a teacher.

Every training comes with lifetime access and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

For PlayPauseBe owners

Own a deck? Its training is waiting.

A card holds the essentials: the name, the cue, the benefit. The training behind it shows you everything a card has no room for, on video: how to enter, hold and leave each pose, the variations for every level, and the reasons behind all of it.

The teachers

Taught by people who still teach.

Dancers, bodyworkers, anatomists and teacher trainers, each chosen for the subject they know best. Meet all our teachers ›

From our students

What changes when you understand the work.

Thanks to Asana Academy Vol.1 I realized I was making mistakes in my practice. Grateful for this. Highly recommended, even if you already go to classes.
Marcus Beginner Asana Academy
As a yoga teacher, I was skeptical about whether I would learn much from this course. I discovered at least four new sequencing methods and learned many helpful tips.
Kathleen Davidson Yoga teacher Sequencing Academy
Every pose is explained in detail, and I love how Illona gave variations for all levels. I now feel so much more confident in my practice.
Traci Owen Home practice Yin Academy
I was new to Pranayama but now I do it every day! The course is amazing, easy to follow and full of useful information.
Federica C. New to pranayama PlayPauseBreathe
My body feels so much better after practice, my muscles don't get sore anymore, and I don't end up fatigued. I just wish I learned sequencing sooner.
Josephine Harper Home practice Sequencing Academy
I unlocked a deeper awareness of my body and I was finally able to hold a Handstand in total confidence.

Questions, answered

Do I need a PlayPauseBe deck?

No. Every training stands on its own. The deck academies are filmed around a deck's cards, so owning it makes the lessons easier to take to the mat, but the teaching is complete without it.

I'm a beginner. Where should I start?

Asana Academy Vol. 1 if you want a solid base in the poses, Yin Academy if you want something slower, PlayPauseBreathe if you would rather begin with the breath. All three start from zero.

How long do I have access?

For life. Each training stays in your member area, and you can study it at whatever pace suits you, on any device with a browser.

What does YACEP mean?

Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. Registered Yoga Teachers need continuing education hours to keep their registration, and our certified trainings count toward them: 30 hours for Sequencing Mastery and Kundalini Academy, 25 for Restorative Academy, 20 for Ayurveda and 10 for Face Yoga.

Is the teaching live?

No. Every training is self-paced video. The certified tracks include personal feedback on your assignments, and on every training you can email our teachers with questions.

What if it isn't right for me?

Write to us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full.
