Yoga decks

What are yoga cards and how do they work?
Yoga cards are illustrated cards, one pose or practice per card, that you lay out in order to build a yoga sequence. Floga's PlayPauseBe decks show each pose with its English and Sanskrit name, visual and written cues and a short focus phrase. You pick the cards, set them in a row on the floor and follow them on the mat, so you never need a screen or a memorized class. See all decks on the yoga decks page.
Which yoga card decks does Floga make?
Floga makes 10 PlayPauseBe yoga decks. They are the Yoga Deck (82 cards), Asana Expansion Deck (77), Expansion Deck (78), Yin Yoga Deck (68), Chair Yoga Deck (71), Mudra Deck (76), Restorative Yoga Deck (79), Kundalini Yoga Deck (89, limited edition), Ayurveda Yoga Deck (81) and Tarot Yoga Deck (78, limited print run). The Yoga Deck is the core deck for Hatha and Vinyasa; the others add a style or a skill. Compare them on the yoga decks page.
What comes in the box with a PlayPauseBe yoga deck?
Every PlayPauseBe yoga deck comes with its full set of hand-illustrated cards and a printed manual, plus an in-depth online manual. The manuals explain each pose or practice in more detail, including longer instructions and the precautions to keep in mind. The cards themselves carry the short cues you need on the mat, so the box is all you need to start practicing.
Who illustrates the PlayPauseBe yoga cards, and are they made with AI?
Every PlayPauseBe card is hand-illustrated by the Italian artist Giulia Rosa, and Floga never uses generative AI. The decks are printed in Europe on FSC-certified stock. Giulia Rosa also draws the covers of Floga Monthly, so the cards, the magazine and the rest of the Floga range share one recognisable style.
What makes PlayPauseBe yoga decks worth the investment?

A deck’s value is not just in how it looks when you open it. It is in what you learn from it, how often you use it and how well it lasts.

Every PlayPauseBe deck combines original, hand-drawn illustrations, carefully developed yoga content and professional-grade Italian card stock. We invest in the details that make a difference every time you study, plan a class or step onto your mat.

We still use cards from our first Kickstarter batch in 2020. Years of practice later, they remain in excellent condition.

What paper are PlayPauseBe cards made from?

We use professional-grade, 320 gsm Italian black-core card stock. Two layers are bonded around a black center that helps prevent light from showing through.

This type of construction is also used in professional casino playing cards, where frequent handling is part of the job. A considered choice for cards you will arrange, pick up and return to, again and again.

How long do PlayPauseBe yoga decks last?

We designed them for years of practice. Our own cards from the original 2020 Kickstarter batch are still in excellent condition after regular use.

Every deck’s lifespan depends on how it is handled and stored. Keep your cards dry and return them to their box between practices to help protect them.

Why do you use non-toxic printing inks?

Your cards spend a lot of time in your hands. We think that deserves care.

Skin can absorb certain substances it comes into contact with, depending on the substance and the exposure. That is one reason we pay attention to the inks we choose, alongside the paper and finish.

We choose non-toxic printing inks because we would rather invest in carefully selected materials than cut corners on something you handle every day.

How do I build a yoga sequence with yoga cards?
To build a yoga sequence with PlayPauseBe cards, pick a few warm-up cards, add standing or main poses, then finish with slower poses and rest. On the Yoga Deck, each card suggests what can come before and after it, and the manuals explain how to sequence safely. If you want step-by-step methods, Sequencing Academy teaches 8 ways to build your own flows.
Can I mix different PlayPauseBe decks in one practice?
Yes. All PlayPauseBe decks share the same illustration style and card system, so you can mix them freely. Many people pair one strong deck, like the Yoga Deck, with one slow deck, like the Yin Yoga Deck, or add mudras and breathwork to a flow. Mixing also pays off at checkout: 2 decks ship free and 3 decks unlock an extra 10% off every deck. Browse the decks.

Choosing a deck

What is the best yoga deck for beginners?
The PlayPauseBe Yoga Deck is the best place to start: 82 cards of Hatha and Vinyasa poses, each with clear cues and a printed manual. If you prefer slow, floor-based practice, the Yin Yoga Deck is very beginner-friendly too. Many beginners later add the Asana Expansion Deck for new poses, and choosing 3 decks unlocks an extra 10% off every deck.
What is the difference between the Asana Expansion Deck and the Expansion Deck?
They are two different add-ons to the Yoga Deck. The Asana Expansion Deck (77 cards) brings 71 new poses plus 6 pranayama breathing cards, with no repeats. The Expansion Deck (78 cards) holds copies of the most-used poses, pause, repeat and vinyasa cards, and 12 intention cards, so you can lay out longer sequences. Choose new poses, longer flows, or both.
Do I need the Yoga Deck to use the expansion decks?
For the Expansion Deck, yes: it holds copies and sequence-building cards, not a full set of poses, so it works alongside the Yoga Deck. The Asana Expansion Deck can be used on its own, but it is designed as an add-on and its numbering continues from the Yoga Deck. Buying the Yoga Deck with one expansion gives you free shipping, and all three unlock an extra 10% off every deck.
Which yoga deck is best for a slow, relaxing practice?
For slow practice, Floga offers two decks. The Yin Yoga Deck has 60 floor-based poses held for several minutes, plus 8 bonus cards on chakras and meridians. The Restorative Yoga Deck has 79 cards of prop, belt and wall poses, somatic practices and pranayama, built around emotional balance and rest. Many people find a slow deck balances a stronger Hatha or Vinyasa practice.
Is there a yoga deck for seniors, office workers or people with limited mobility?
Yes, the PlayPauseBe Chair Yoga Deck adapts 71 poses to be done seated or with the support of a chair. Any sturdy chair at home or at work is enough. It suits people who find standard poses hard or practice in small spaces, and it also includes chair-supported versions of stronger poses for experienced yogis. The Chair Yoga Academy course covers every pose in detail.
Which deck should I choose for breathwork, meditation or energy work?
Floga has four decks that go beyond poses. The Mudra Deck has 65 hand gestures for meditation and breath. The Kundalini Yoga Deck brings kriyas, meditations, mantras and pranayama. The Ayurveda Yoga Deck, the first deck of its kind, weaves doshas, koshas, asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra into one system that tells you how and when to practice, and the Tarot Yoga Deck pairs each of the 78 tarot cards with a pose or mudra.
What are the benefits of pranayama, or yogic breathing?
Pranayama is the practice of guiding the breath, and many people use it to feel calmer, more focused or more energized. Slow techniques such as Nadi Shodhana are traditionally practiced to relax before sleep, faster ones such as Kapalbhati to wake up in the morning, and research suggests slow, steady breathing can support relaxation and heart and lung health. The Asana Expansion Deck includes 6 pranayama cards, and PlayPauseBreathe teaches them on video. Start gently and skip strong techniques if you are pregnant or have a heart condition.
Are any PlayPauseBe decks limited edition?
Yes. The Kundalini Yoga Deck is a limited edition and the Tarot Yoga Deck is a limited print run, so they may not be reprinted once they sell out. The other decks are part of the regular range. If a limited deck shows as available on its page, it is in stock and ships like any other deck.

Courses & certification

What is Floga Academy?
Floga Academy is Floga's school of 15 online yoga courses, from poses and sequencing to Yin, chair yoga, mudras, Kundalini, Ayurveda, inversions and face yoga. Every course is self-paced video with lifetime access, on any device with a browser. Many courses are filmed around a PlayPauseBe deck, so the cards and the lessons work together, and several offer Yoga Alliance continuing education hours.
Do I need a yoga deck to take a Floga Academy course?
No. Every Floga Academy course is complete on its own. The deck courses are filmed around a deck's cards, so owning the deck makes it easier to take the lessons to the mat without a screen. For example, Asana Academy Vol. 1 follows the Yoga Deck. Each deck page offers a pack with its matching course, which is the simplest way to get both.
Which online yoga course is best for beginners?
Floga Academy has three courses that start from zero. Asana Academy Vol. 1 builds a solid base in the poses, Yin Academy is slower and gentler, and PlayPauseBreathe begins with the breath. Every pose comes with modifications for your level. If you take two courses, the cheaper one is 25% off.
Are Floga Academy courses live, and how long do I have access?
Floga Academy courses are pre-recorded and self-paced, and you keep access for life. You can start the moment you buy, study at your own speed and come back to any lesson later, on a phone, tablet or computer. Live classes are not included, but you can email Floga's teachers with questions, and the certified tracks include personal feedback on your assignments.
What is YACEP, and which Floga courses count toward it?
YACEP means Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, and Floga is one. Registered yoga teachers need continuing education hours to keep their registration. Floga's certified options give 30 hours for Sequencing Mastery and the Kundalini Academy, 25 for Restorative Academy, 20 for Ayurveda Yoga Training and 10 for Face Yoga Academy. See them all in Floga Academy.
Is Floga a Yoga Alliance registered yoga school?
Yes. Floga is a Registered Yoga School (RYS 200) with Yoga Alliance and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). Its 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training is launching soon, and the YACEP courses in Floga Academy give continuing education hours to teachers who are already registered.
Who are the Floga Academy teachers?

Floga Academy courses are taught by working yoga teachers, each chosen for the subject they know best: Illona Tschopp (Asana Academy, PlayPauseBreathe, Upside Down in 30 Days, Yin Academy), Ann Schreppers (Mudra Mastery, Restorative Academy, Face Yoga Academy, Sequencing Mastery, Tarot Yoga Wisdom), Tine Horn (Sequencing Academy, Yin Academy), Cynthia Reschke (Kundalini Academy), Grecia Gómez Jiménez (Chair Yoga Academy) and Katie Rose (Ayurveda Yoga Training, with Ann). Read their training and experience on Our teachers.

What training and experience do Floga teachers have?

Illona Tschopp has 600 hours of teacher training and more than 1,500 hours of teaching. Ann Schreppers holds more than 1,500 hours of certification in yoga and energy psychology. Tine Horn has practiced for more than 20 years across Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin. Cynthia Reschke has led Kundalini teacher trainings for more than a decade. Katie Rose is a registered experienced teacher and teacher trainer with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia, with more than 25 years in wellness. Full profiles on Our teachers.

Does face yoga really work?
Yes. Face Yoga Academy works the facial muscles the same way yoga works the body: consistent, intentional movement tones them for a more lifted, sculpted look, and gentle massage-like movement helps reduce puffiness. Some effects, like less puffiness and a more relaxed face, show after a single session; most people see visible toning within 2–3 weeks of five minutes a day. It is self-paced, with lifetime access and an optional 10-hour YACEP certification. See it in Floga Academy.

Offers & bundles

Is there a discount for buying more than one yoga deck?
Yes. When you mix any PlayPauseBe decks, 2 decks ship free, 3 decks unlock an extra 10% off every deck, and 5 decks unlock an extra 20% off every deck. The discounts apply automatically in the cart and count decks only. A popular start is the Yoga Deck, the Asana Expansion Deck and one style deck such as Yin. Mix your set on the yoga decks page.
How do I get free shipping at Floga?
Floga ships your order free in three cases: when it contains 2 or more decks, when it totals €65 or more ($65 in dollars, £55 in pounds), or when it includes any online course. You don't need a code; the cart applies it automatically. Adding a matching course to a single deck is an easy way to qualify.
How can I get a free online course?
Order 5 decks plus 2 more items (a deck, a course or a guidebook) and Floga adds Sequencing Academy to your cart free. If Sequencing Academy is already in your cart, you get PlayPauseBreathe instead. Five decks also unlock an extra 20% off every deck, so it is the best-value way to build a full collection.
Is there a discount on a second online course?
Yes. Buy any 2 Floga Academy courses and the cheaper one is 25% off, applied automatically in the cart. This stacks with the deck discounts, so you can pair, for example, Asana Academy Vol. 1 with Sequencing Academy and still get the multi-deck savings on your cards. Browse the courses in Floga Academy.
What are the deck packs like Practice it, Learn it and Teach it?
Each PlayPauseBe deck page offers ready-made packs. "Practice it" is the deck alone. "Learn it" or "Sequence it" adds its matching course or guidebook. "Teach it", "Master it" or "Certify it" adds a deeper course, often with Yoga Alliance YACEP hours. Packs are the simplest way to get a deck and its course together; see the options on the Yoga Deck page.
Can I use a discount code together with the automatic offers?
No. At Floga, discount codes don't combine with the automatic discounts such as the multi-deck savings or the second-course offer. The automatic discounts apply by themselves in the cart, so in most cases you don't need a code at all. If you are unsure which is better for your order, contact us.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. A Floga gift card comes in 25, 50, 100 or 150, in dollars, euros or pounds. The person who receives it chooses their own PlayPauseBe decks, Floga Academy trainings or guidebooks, and the card never expires.
How does a Floga gift card work?
Choose an amount on the gift card page. We email the gift card right after checkout, or, if you tick "Send it to someone by email", straight to the person you are giving it to, on the day you pick and with your message. They enter the code at checkout, and anything left on the card stays there for their next order.
What are the Yoga Sequence Guidebooks?
The Yoga Sequence Guidebooks are Floga PDFs of ready-made sequences built with PlayPauseBe cards, so you can practice or teach without planning from scratch. There are volumes for the Yoga Deck (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2), Yin, Chair and the Asana Expansion Deck, plus bundles. They are delivered right after checkout and count as an extra item toward the free-course offer.

Shipping & returns

Where does Floga ship from, and will I pay import fees?
Floga ships worldwide from warehouses in Dallas (US), Glasgow (UK) and Venlo (EU), so most orders travel a short distance. Customers in the US, Canada, the UK and the EU pay no import fees, and prices show in EUR, GBP or USD depending on your country. Shipping costs are shown at checkout, and many orders ship free: 2 or more decks, €65 or more ($65 in dollars, £55 in pounds), or any order with an online course.
What is Floga's return policy for yoga decks?
Floga decks and other physical products have a 15-day money-back guarantee. Items must be unused and in their original packaging, and you pay the return shipping. If something arrives faulty or damaged, contact us and we will put it right. Full details are in our return and refund policy.
Can I get a refund on an online course?
Yes. Every Floga Academy course has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the course isn't right for you, write to us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. PDF guidebooks are different: they can't be refunded once delivered, unless the file is faulty or local law says otherwise. See our return and refund policy.

Floga app & magazine

What is the Floga app?
The Floga app is Floga's yoga sequence builder and player. You build your own yoga sequences in the app, then press play and practice them with the app guiding you from pose to pose. It comes from the same company as the PlayPauseBe decks and Floga Academy. The Quarterly and Yearly plans also include every issue of Floga Monthly.
What is Floga Monthly?
Floga Monthly is Floga's digital yoga magazine. Each issue is themed around the month's full moon and brings 8 Hatha and Vinyasa sequences, 4 Yin sequences, two in-depth articles and 4 reflection prompts, with a cover hand-drawn by Giulia Rosa. Every sequence includes modifications, though the issues are written for people who already practice regularly.
How do I read Floga Monthly, and is the app included?
With the Quarterly or Yearly plan, each new issue of Floga Monthly arrives in the Floga app every month, where you can read it, download it to print or practice the sequences directly, and you get full access to the app. A single issue is the magazine only, sent as a PDF to read on any device or print.

Teachers

Are yoga cards good for yoga teachers?
Yes: 32.5% of PlayPauseBe customers are yoga teachers. They use the cards to plan classes faster, lay a full class on the floor and read it while teaching. Cards carry Sanskrit names, cues, benefits and chakras, which help with theming. The Expansion Deck adds pause, repeat and vinyasa cards plus duplicates, so a whole class, transitions included, fits in front of you.
Which Floga deck and course help me teach fresh classes?
For variety, pair the Yoga Deck with the Asana Expansion Deck: 71 new poses mean you stop teaching the same flows. For planning, Sequencing Mastery is a teacher training on building and teaching full classes, with an optional 30-hour YACEP certification. Two decks ship free, and with two courses the cheaper one is 25% off.
Can I teach themed classes with the specialist decks?
Yes. Floga's specialist decks give teachers ready material for themed classes and workshops. You can choose mudras by benefit, chakra or element with the Mudra Deck, build Yin classes around a meridian, offer prop and wall work with the Restorative Yoga Deck, adapt classes for chairs, or build a workshop around a tarot card with the Tarot Yoga Deck.
How can I become a certified yoga teacher with Floga?
Floga's 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training is launching soon. It is self-paced, with pre-recorded lessons and no fixed dates, and when you complete it you can register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200. Floga is a Registered Yoga School (RYS 200).
